I am a juggler?

The catch 22 of life- being involved. If you are uninvolved in your life seems unexcited, bland, boring, and you are probably alone. Shoot to the other side, total involvement. The swirl of events, friends, drinks and meeting people.

Currently my life has become only my involvements. I seem defined and limited through these external things. My 100% attention is being commanded by so many parts of my life that I feel like I am standing still with chaos around me. Just like in the movies, where the main character remains and the airport or city surrounding her is on fast forward. That is me.

Back to the point. The catch 22 is that there is no happy medium of involvement. Us that are involved become addicted to the social busyness. We join more things, sign up for my events and take on more responsibility. I am the person who believes in the phrase “go big or go home”. If you aren’t going to commit then you are wasting my time. That phrase aligns with the involved addict.

This is an open ended sentiment. I don’t know if there is a way to change me to be less involved because it is all I know. I know there are others out there who, like me, are struggling to keep the balls in the air and keep the show going.

I follow Dory’s advice from Finding Nemo “just keep swimming, just keep swimming”
